The microscopes I am requesting will be housed visibly in the classroom so that they are available at any given teachable moment that should arise. It will expose my 3rd grade students to the mysteries of the unseen microscopic world and build a curiosity to discover more. It will encourage students to think about the idea of becoming more than just citizens of the communities they live in. It will help them dream of the possibilities of becoming doctors and nurses that will one day cure diseases. It will encourage them to become engineers and designers that create a whole new world of technological advances that gives us life beyond what we know today. It really does take a village to raise a child and the world we live in today may not look just like the one of tomorrow, but together with your help, we could train up a generation to create the kind of world that is healthy and productive for all of us now and those in the future.

About my class
