As a teacher, we know that STEM education is important in equipping students for today's world of non-stop innovation. I will be teaching a unit on the Solar System. I am desperately trying to provide 21st - century skills that include coding, engineering and the scientific method in an engaging way! I would like to guide my students to discover that we use robots to explore space and to do difficult task. The use of robotics in the classroom has proven to hold students interest and a great way to guide students in preparing for the future job market. Furthermore, it promotes teamwork. Students learn how to work in groups on projects with the robot such as coding, which is very important. Students are able to express themselves and listen and relate to others honing life-long skills. Moreover, students can learn additional skills such as leadership, community involvement and communicating across technology platforms. Robotics provides so many opportunities for students to grow and launch beyond their academic years.
