The massage tool was requested by our students last year. They come to the social worker and counseling office to get mental health support. In that environment, we try to make things as comfortable as possible. At times, student come in and need to take time to calm down. During that time, I typically have fidget items and things to draw with. On more that one occasion, student have asked me if they could use my personal massage gun, and since then, I've been trying to get one for the campus. We have hard seats, and students are sitting for around 8 hours daily. The thermometer and blood pressure monitor are needed on our campus as we have partially opened back up, and students can come on campus. For the safety of our staff and students, we thought it was vital to have tools to take temperature and heart rate as we do not have a nurse on our campus.
