One of the national standards in music education is to be able to compose and create music within specific guidelines. Orchestra students especially, need to learn how to notate and evaluate notations in music. Using whiteboards will give them an opportunity to accurately practice what they have learned together in hands on approach. At the same time, using whiteboards will allow me to receive immediate feedback and adjust my teaching to fit each learning style. These materials will keep my students actively learning and engaged in music class. As they work together, they can focus on improving and grasping new musical concepts. Using the whiteboards in class, will help facilitate key music fundamentals like music theory, learning scales, and understanding rhythms. The classroom set of boards will provide a quick formative assessment to check for understanding among the class.
