Having music stands is a must for any band or orchestra. Our current music stands are falling apart and we don't have enough to accommodate everyone. We sometimes don't have enough when the whole band is together. I sometimes see students looking for the "good" stands before class starts. New music stands would greatly benefit our students. Sometimes three to four students are sharing one stand and it makes it difficult for them to read the music. At the beginning of summer band, students take music stands outside and have sectionals. Imagine band students crowding around one music stand learning their music. My students would greatly appreciate it if they had new music stands.
