A majority of my students come from low income households that cannot afford to purchase personal calculators. This project will ensure that every student that comes through my classroom has an equal opportunity to utilize technology that can aid to their learning. We are requesting classroom set of calculators and pocket chart storage will allow every student an equal opportunity! The next level of math they take requires calculator use, so by practicing at this level they are getting extra practice before they enter the next phase of their mathematical journey. Let's give them the tools they need to be successful in the classroom. A little extra boost of math technology will get these students to the level necessary to pursue Algebra I.
