The students that I serve thrive in a multi-sensory setting that promotes self-regulation. By providing them with flexible seating options, I will be setting my high needs students up for success by allowing them to discover which type of learning environment best works for their personality and disability. All students can benefit from the choice of seat in an academic setting, but the students I work with have a strong need for either sensory input or output to prepare their minds and bodies for school work. The types of flexible seating I have chosen for this project will give my students various forms of sensory experiences to choose from, making academics more accessible to the children that I serve.

About my class
