Students learn math with me using blocks, drawing graphs, creating tables, writing on white boards and working together to figure out new concepts. As a new teacher, my room didn’t have table for students. I rounded up old tables that have legs that wobble and chairs that slide on the floor and flip over. This table and chairs will allow students to work comfortably and write directly on the table to solve problems. I can’t replace all the furniture in my room, but this will allow me to have one group work with comfortable seating and a table that remains steady.
