Social and emotional development is a vital aspect of each student's educational journey. One can argue that social and emotional learning (SEL) is even more imperative during times of collective trauma and turbulence, as seen with the COVID-19 Pandemic and remote learning. It is my goal, with the use of materials provided from this project, to create an engaging, fun, and interactive hybrid/remote learning environment for my students to learn and develop appropriate social and emotional skills. Studies have shown that SEL competencies and skills are critically important for the long-term success of all students. Such competencies can have a positive impact up to 18 years later on academics, conduct problems, and emotional distress. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will ultimately help to increase their social and emotional achievement and most importantly, their well-being.
