Learning the science of rockets is one thing, experiencing the excitement of a rocket launch is quite another. Students will learn and apply knowledge of electric circuits, chemical reactions, forces, trajectory and angles. Additionally, they will engineer the rockets and work in teams to achieve a successful launch and return to earth. Our study of trajectory, launch angle and displacement will support students' mathematics, in addition to being a high quality science unit. The rocket kits I am seeking require students to follow a complex set of instructions to construct a model rocket. It's certainly not just a snap-together toy! Student teams can take pride in their work as their creations blast up to 2000 ft above the school.
