We have set up a positive reinforcement model at our school to reward the kids with school money. The children learn to save and spend money in the process, while not allowing impulse spending to cloud their judgement. The program has worked very well so far. We use a lot from donations. The children like to save up, not just for knick knacks and stress balls, but for supplies and personal items as well. The allotment for money from the school system can only go so far. Each and everyone of these kids here is affected positively from this program. They learn responsibility and how to work for something. It is a real proud thing to see. Thanks for your time. The kids that need the extra encouragement are motivated to do the right thing and go to the store to buy everything from stem items, crazy pencils, stress balls, art supplies, and what ever else that can tap into their growing minds.
