iPads have become such a useful tool in classrooms, and I am determined to give my students the same advantages their peers across the city, and country, have. My school prides itself on engaging students through game based learning. For instance, we have plans to use Minecraft to build ancient ruins that we learn about in social studies. Our approach to education is hands-on and inquiry driven, and collaborative. An iPad in the classroom will allow many of my students, especially those with special needs and English Language Learners, to find new ways to engage in course material. Specifically, the iPad is a great tool to build literacy skills while still maintaining a game-based approach to learning.
