I need headphones for my students. It isn't a want, it's a need. My students have mandatory programs on their Chromebooks. They NEED sound to use these programs! Many of them don't have headphones, and their families cannot afford to buy them. iReady lessons and tests require sound. Without headphones, students cannot make the academic growth that they are capable of making. We use programs, like iReady, that require sound for the lessons. Some students have disabilities that cause them to have high anxiety if they do not have a way to block out some of the sound around them. Headphones are a great sound buffer.
