I teach in a low-income district. Many of my students have difficult home lives. We are trying, as a school, to teach better coping mechanisms Our school is full of talent and intelligence. We just need to break through some work ethic barriers so we can reach full potential. The Bob punching bag is a good example of the outside of the body. I can set him next to the skeleton so the students get a better idea of their insides and outsides. We also work on coping mechanisms in homeroom. This will help a lot. Kids that know how to throw a punch are less likely to fight.
