I look forward to helping my students get creative and hands-on play in the classroom to start off their school days. We will call it a smart start. It will be a refreshing break to start our day with play and creative building of our imaginations. Providing hands-on experiences for kids to use tools they may not otherwise have access to opens a whole new level of learning. I want to see my students as creators of interesting and different things each day. This will also provide an opportunity for the students to work together to build and create. Providing these resources to my students they will have the freedom to become inventors, work collaboratively on a project, and problem solves as designs require improvements or modifications. The Osmos will provide students the opportunity to use physical materials such as letter tiles, or coding blocks to engage and learn while using the iPad. The Osmo app on the iPad is also an excellent source for students to learn to follow directions.
