This project will fund a Flag Football Club at my elementary school. The club will offer young men a free, accessible extracurricular activity to improve their well-being and development. Students will have the opportunity to receive social interaction in an organic environment, learn the importance of physical fitness, good sportsmanship, leadership, team building, and connections to STEM concepts. It will also provide students with added motivation to meet classroom expectations and access to a sports program on campus. Male role models will help run the program to develop character and a sense of community with our elementary young men. Male Students in grades 4-6 will be selected to participate by teacher recommendation and must be in good academic and behavioral standing to remain eligible. We hope to launch the the Flag Football Club to provide our students with this exciting opportunity!
