The headphones requested for my class will be used to listen to weekly science podcasts. The headphones will allow each student to listen in class to the episode of their own choosing. As a teacher, I know that not all of my students can afford headphones, so by keeping a class set, I can allow students who can't afford headphones to use some belonging to the classroom. The podcast lessons in my classroom will provide my students with current science news and will promote the use of podcasts to my middle school students. After listening to the episode my students will then have to summarize the main points of the episode, rate the episode, and discuss information that they found interesting. Please consider helping to fund my classroom set of headphones!
