My high school students, juniors and seniors, teach multiple lessons every week to middle and elementary school children. Every lesson requires that we make minimal purchases out of pocket. Sometimes the purchases can be as little as one dollar a lesson, sometimes they can be more costly. My students teach at least two lessons every week, so even small purchases really add up. These items will provide my students with a foundational supplies that will be extremely useful as they teach lessons in the future. The children's books will serve as thematic anchors in future cross-curricular units and lessons they will implement later. My students already spend money for this class by supplying their own transportation to and from our teaching sites multiple times a week. Even when we are economical, small amounts of money make a great deal of difference. We appreciate all support.
