Instead of having to sit at a table and do worksheets, my students can listen to a story and then participate in many enrichment activities afterwards. I also have English Language learners. This will help them with both language and print! Many of my students are never read to at home and this will give them a chance to hear stories they may otherwise never hear. My kindergarten students will get to hear what good reading sounds like! Fluency is so important and needs to stressed early on. Thank you!
