In order to cultivate a classroom that finds joy in reading, students need access to a variety of book and other texts across a wide range of genres, time periods, cultures, perspectives, and topics for a multitude of purpose, including learning about new ideas and oneself and immersing oneself in the sheer pleasure of reading. In October through our project students will explore that they can be who they want to be regardless of social norms and stereotypes, and should allow that same freedom to others without strengthening those norms and supporting those stereotypes. We will be exploring fairy tales that have role reversals along with other books. Your donations will go towards purchasing books that will support our project work along with books that will spark joy and create lifelong readers! Thank you so much!
