These iPads will be a stepping stone to learn how to use a communication device for my students. Often, if we can show the students being successful with a communication program, like Proloquo2go, then we can assist them in getting their own personal devices, which make a world of difference for my students. They will also be used as a hands-on center activity to allow for more one-on-one teaching moments for each individual student. While one student is working an educational activity on an iPad, another can be working with a teacher, assistant, or therapist on individual goals. My students learn best with colorful visuals combined with words; making iPads ideal for them. These iPads will be an invaluable asset to our classroom and learning community!
