Because we take our K-6th grade kids outside to learn in outdoor classrooms, comfortable seating is a must! We "do it all" outdoors -- literacy, math, social studies, art and music, and of course science. Research shows that exposure to the outdoors has numerous long-term benefits to students’ intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Simply by being surrounded by nature, children are refreshed and relieved of anxiety. River Grove’s setting within the 900-acre Wilder Forest just north of Stillwater, MN, encompasses a wide variety of natural areas that enable us to get kids outside for recreation AND learning. Please help us expand our outdoor classroom equipment. Thank you!
