Although these calculators are essential for my students to learn how to use and to have daily practice working with them in math, they can become expensive to the families that I work with. I did not want these calculators to be a financial strain on any of my students, which is why I am asking for help from the DonorsChoose.org community. As a previous high school math teacher, I know these calculators will not only serve my students in their middle school curriculum, but they will use these calculators all throughout their high school years. This purchase will not only develop and strengthen a long-term skill my students will be using, but it will also make their middle school math lessons more beneficial, engaging, and purposeful.
