We will use this rug all day! I will be teaching large group instruction for reading, math, science, social studies, character strengths, read alouds, social skills, and sharing opportunities. My current rug was donated by another teacher that did not want the rug due to being used for many years. It is worn, thin, and needs to be replaced. The new rug would be more comfortable and provide learning stimulation for my class. It will create a sense of community. I also meet with small groups on the carpet and use it for another center in my classroom. The carpet will be the heart of our classroom!
