Our school does a great job of getting our students the tools they need to succeed. Recently, we have increased the number of chromebooks in an effort to integrate technology into our curriculum as much as possible. The school has calculators available for students when they are taking standardized tests or an ACT, but there is not currently a set of calculators in my classroom. Consequently, many of my students who are on a tight budget do not regularly have a calculator with them in class. When students cannot practice every day with a scientific calculator, they don't have the comfort and fluency in using all of the complex functions of a scientific calculator. Having a classroom set would allow my students to practice and be confident using technology to help them be their best!
