These materials will be used during our math rotation time as an opportunity to work in teams of 4-5 first graders. Students will be given builds and challenges daily that they must work together to build and solve within the 15-20 minute time period. Collaboration and engineering are the main goals for this project. Students will have fun and use their creativity to solve problems. As the builds grow more challenging the students will also have to create "blueprints" or steps to solve the problems. Help get these first graders ready to have fun while also learning valuable social, emotional, mechanical, and science skills.
