As the Academic Interventionist, I see EVERY class, K-8, once a week. During this time I have students engage in whole class SEL activities and then we move into literacy centers. Centers are created based on student need. My goal is to provide structured supports to students who need small group and one-on-one instructional supports. Chromebooks are essential for this to work effectively because small groups can access online personalized literacy practice in order to continue their growth. Thus I would like to add an additional personalized learning center for independent literacy work. I will also be using these Chromebooks to assess students and continually monitor growth and progress. Unfortunately, our school is not one-to-one, and I have limited access to technology. If this project were funded it would help ensure consistent and accurate progress monitoring, access to personalized learning, and necessary small group and one-on-one supports be provided to students - helping them move towards grade level proficiency and beyond!
