Resource Reading class is designed to help the low-level reader enhance their reading skills and bring their levels close to grade level. The Scholastic Magazines that I am requesting for my students will give them the opportunity to read relevant articles that are on their reading level. My goal this year is to inspire my students to read out of the classroom. I explain to them that reading proficiently helps every other subject in school. Many struggles in their other classes due to the reading level of the textbook required. By utilizing the Scholastic Magazines in class it will build their academic vocabulary.
