The entire school building, kindergarten to fifth grade, will have the opportunity to participate in Bingo for Books! All of the books that have been picked out, are of high interest and cover a range of reading abilities. It's important to find high interest leveled books for students. Many of my students come from countries all around the world and have a universal love for soccer. Some of my book choices are soccer related due to the interest level of the students in my building. Why not have them read the story behind their favorite soccer player, or content about the sport? Providing students with a high level interest book of their very own to bring home and share with their families, would promote literacy while building family connections at the same time. Students will arrive with their families for a fun filled night of Bingo! There are numerous staff members who engage in translating and guiding families throughout the night. It's a night filled with smiles, laughter, and community building. Please help me in providing the love of reading to my students and their families.
