These materials will have such an impact in my classroom; not only for my children's ability to experience and play with different roles, but also to help with their social and emotional development. As these materials require my students to work together, problem solve and interact with one another in meaningful ways. The props I have selected will enhance all areas of their development but most importantly it will improve their communication and social skills. For some of my students this is their first experience at school so for many of them this will be their first time exploring these materials and developing the skills needed to work independently but to also work as a team. Dramatic play takes on many forms but in order for them to reach this level of play we really need these materials in our classroom.
