In my mythology class, I want my students to not only learn these epic stories but to thoroughly enjoy them. We need more than a traditional textbook but modern, accessible texts. This collection of books will help my students enjoy reading, become better writers, and grow to love Greek and Roman mythology. Using a book club model, my students will have a variety of choices from which to select. Furthermore, they will have sources from which they can model both creative and expository writing. They are learning to read like writers and write like readers, from The Hero's Journey to literary analysis.
