High Desert Middle School Robotics Club, located in Bend Oregon is looking to support Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) in our school community. Students are required to engineer, research scientific problems, create creative solutions based on evidence, work as a team, and communicate clearly with adults while utilizing the support of FIRST Lego League (F.L.L.). We intend to have two teams for the 2019-2020 school year with approximately four to five students per team. We will use our practice time to encourage students to complete their FLL required tasks through an advisory style approach. It is the expectation of FLL that students lead and complete the required work. We expect that by completing the required tasks from FLL and preparing to display our work in the regional competition that students will gain experience and improve their engineering, research, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
