The ability to teach young people the dying art of photography will help preserve a grand tradition. ISO and aperture settings, framing, the rule of thirds, and depth of field mean nothing to someone pointing a phone camera at a subject. Being able to learn how to maneuver and manipulate a real camera would be beneficial, not just for the sake of the students' knowledge, but also to produce quality imagery that can be transposed into the school's yearbook. Students in this yearbook class and all over campus will benefit by getting to see their years in school memorialized through still and video projections. Emphasis can be placed on events such as FFA speeches and shows, baseball games, elementary plays, and the like.
