These books will continue to enhance our learning by providing an interesting way to gather information on real-life events that have occurred. Additionally, it will allow us to complete more guided reading as a group using the printed text as well as the audio guide. This gives students the opportunity to read aloud, read independently, listen to their teacher read and hear the text being read through the audio guide. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school and I have given a reading interest survey to see what series my students are interested in reading. Students will be able to choose books they are excited about, which will help them continue to enjoy both independent reading and guided reading! The best way to increase reading ability is by choosing books that students are engaged and passionate about. These books are sure to pique their interest which will ultimately foster their love of reading!
