We are requesting a rectangular table and stools. For some students, sitting behind a standard desk in a plastic chair can feel binding. Why not give children a choice of where to sit in the classroom, so that they can be comfortable while learning? The new trend of flexible seating has been taking classrooms everywhere by storm - and for a good reason. Think about your experience as a student: being expected to sit in a small desk and hard, plastic chair during instruction throughout the school day. Now picture this: being given an option of where to sit- whether it be on a stool at a high table, at a lap-desk on a carpet, on a yoga ball at a desk, or on a couch with a music stand. Which would you prefer? Furnishing my classroom with diverse flexible seating options will allow me to foster a comfy space that produces that welcoming, at-home feeling for my students. The young learners will have a choice of where sit, so that they can feel comfortable and learn in a spot that works best for their individual needs. Please consider donating to assist me in furnishing my small, cozy classroom!
