Electronic tablets will give my students access to the latest technology to help aid their learning. Because of the often strapped budget at my school, there are limited resources - such as not enough technological devices to go around. But there are so many helpful and innovative online programs out there! With these tablets, more of my students will be able to access them. As I'm particularly thinking about my students' linguistic needs in varying levels of both English and Spanish, I know these tablets would go a long way​ in providing access to those valuable programs. I specifically plan to use these tablets to build proficiency in math and literacy. Programs such as iReady, Imagine Learning, Reflex Math and Razkids all use interactive activities to strengthen students' math and reading skills. Many of those activities are available in both English and Spanish, which would greatly impact all of my students for the better. My students would also have easier access to information when researching for unit projects we explore throughout the year. We investigate multiple topics, including Westward Expansion, Biomes around the World, and the Solar System. With multiple tablets, my students will be able to investigate the subjects that interest them with more ease and efficiency. I am excited by the possibility that more of my students will have regular access to more educational activities and information to deepen their learning!
