We all have different learning styles, and flexible seating is a great way to make learning conducive to all students. The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and serve as a daily meeting spot for my students. This will allow my students to have more focus on our lessons and provide ample opportunities for share time. The portable reclining seats will allow my students to read comfortably on the floor instead of sitting at their desk. Students who are more comfortable will read for longer periods of time. The portable lap desk will be used in partner work and make writing while sitting on the ground a lot easier. The stools will be used around my table for guided reading lessons. By donating to our project, you will be helping to make learning more enjoyable and more comfortable for my students. Students will look forward to reading and participating if they are comfortable doing it. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they would like to work and with whom. It allows them to change their location and position as needed.
