My students are desperately in need of graphing calculators. Once they reach college, most of their peers will have had experience using basic graphing calculators. However, even the most basic of these are still very expensive. And, because the majority of my students are receiving some form of federal assistance or free/reduced lunch, expecting families to spend their limited funds on a graphing calculator is difficult. However, my students are worthy of these tools that will help them succeed in college, with financial literacy, and in their adult lives! They are determined scholars who arrive every day to work tirelessly to grow and learn. By providing them with these essential resources, they will be given a fair and fighting chance to accomplish their goals.
