Our students attend a small public high school in an urban district in Washington State. Our students have a broad range of skills and academic challenges, and we are working to broaden the skills and tools that they use in their work. Our students spend two days a week in the community in internships that allow them to explore interests that they are considering for life after high school, working on projects that benefit the organizations they are interning with. Many of our students are working to prepare themselves for education beyond high school, and many will be the first members of their families to continue their educations past high school. As part of their preparation for post high school work, our students write an autobiography. They work through a series of steps over the four years of their high school education ending with a written autobiography.
