My students always need a book to read when they are finished working early, going to bed, in the morning before school starts. I don't want them to have to read the same old types of books that don't have characters they can relate to in life. I am creating a library in my classroom that contains multicultural books and graphic novels that speak to the diversity of my kids. These books will speak to the hearts of my students. They come highly recommended and are of high interest to middle schoolers. These will also provide variety because some are graphic novels, some are non-fiction, and some are fiction.
