This new, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) rug would enhance the look and feel of our Second grade classroom! The lessons and activities that will take place on this rug are an essential part of my students' daily learning. Group meeting activities help build classroom community and re-focus students' attention. In my classroom, we are working on completing more STEAM activities and it would be wonderful if my students had one central place where they could conduct these projects. This rug is not only beautiful and comfortable, but it will remind students about the processes that go along with completing these STEAM based projects. I believe that this classroom rug will make it more comfortable for students to learn and work collaboratively together to complete these hands-on activities.
