Imagine how you'd feel if you were a new student at our middle school and because of circumstances beyond your control (eviction, homelessness, illness) you don't have all the clothes you need to stay warm. This is a reality for more and more students at our wonderful school. This project will help our homeless students with the bare necessities of warm sweatshirts this fall and get their year started a little easier. Over three quarter of our students come from a diverse inner-city area and speak at least 50 native dialects. In addition we have students who are homeless or live with non-parental care givers due to the opiod crisis in our city.
