We are Hispanic and African American first graders in North Carolina. The majority of us are economically disadvantaged. Many of us do not speak English at home, so we are learning English at school. We are at a magnet school for global economics, where we study the world around us throughout the year. We are kind and caring students that are part of a wonderful community of learners. We love to learn and get excited about new opportunities!
