In our classroom, we build community by writing every day and sharing with others. Students forgetting their supplies is no reason for them to not participate in the learning. I have personal whiteboards in the class so the students need markers to write answers and hold them up quickly as part of a fun and involved vocabulary exercise. Also, there are many cultures and many students in the class at a time, and the light filters will help reduce tension and stimulate a more proactive, calming work environment. These supplies are to ensure all students have what they need to study and be an avid learner in an uplifting and creative environment. Additionally, the whisper phones are for students to hear themselves read aloud and self-correct their English. These will help so much as we are snug in our room and listening to themselves voice words correctly or sound them out is a vital part of the students' learning English or even improving their comprehension overall. I am new in my classroom and am trying to acquire as many resources as possible for students to access. I don't want these things to be ruined or vanish too quickly, so our class is centered around respect of property and pride in every individual's work.
