Each project is built with a partner. Students will use a book with no words but pictures. They will use the pictures to identify parts and build a variety of simple machines or robots. Upon completion of each project students will then hook up their robots or simple machines to an iPad or computer. They will then work together to build a computer program that successfully operates their project. Then they will be asked to make adjustments to their project or simple machine in order to change the outcome. The final part of each project is to gather and record information about their simple machine or robot. Students will then answer a variety of thought provoking questions to help them reflect and expand their knowledge in Science and Technology, along with the correlation between the two.
