This project will enhance both my instruction and the student experience by allowing all subject areas to be even more hands on and interactive. By turning our classroom projector into a Smart board, this will capture student attention and help with engagement and motivation in the classroom. It will also offer another entry way for students to understand a particular skill or concept. This technology can easily be embedded in any subject matter and will encourage students to engage with the material. Students can interact with presentations, videos or text projected by highlighting important ideas or adding notes to shared work. In this manner, students can interact with each other's work and practice their collaboration skills, thus adding meaning to the work and truly preparing them for the 21st century.
