A month into teaching, I have noticed that my classroom is missing vital supplies. Being a first-year teacher in a Title I school, I don't have the funds necessary to create a productive classroom environment. My math classroom is lacking supplies necessary for success such as extra pencils, paper, and rulers. We need the supplies of blank printer paper, colored pencils, glue sticks, and construction paper to build knowledge through the interactive notebooks we are building together. Many of my students come without a pencil or other beneficial supplies like a ruler, and a classroom setting would bridge the gap and maximize our time together. I am also requesting a powerpoint clicker to free the classroom from the restraints of working only from the board. I want my students to feel supported with the supplies they need to get a beneficial education in mathematics. My students deserve to continue the year with the strength they started with. Thus, I want to ensure we have all of the supplies to continue to have a productive year!
