Through many manipulatives my special needs students can soar to a new level of understanding and mastery. They are then able to master learning and move closer to grade level standards. Learning through hands on manipulatives are fun and engaging! Students who learn via discovery through using manipulatives are able to retain that knowledge. They are able to master concepts and move on to higher levels of learning. Students are able to explore learning while taking responsibility for their own learning and become more actively engaged learners. Hands-on learning also provides that confidence level that students who often struggle need.
