This is a special two fold project. Students are working on their PE standards and health while giving purpose to their self-made running goals. We will be running the Support Blue Run in February as the culminating event to our training to show our support of law enforcement. The sense of accomplishment in building, reaching, and then again stretching those goals once again has already been evident as students beat their last lap times in practice. The students have already expressed that the running and tiredness pales in comparison to the sacrifices law enforcement officers give day after day. The best part of this is that we have some of our local community law enforcement officers training with the kiddos at the same time, coaching them in running techniques along the way. The PA system will help to motivate students as we run with upbeat music and the microphone capabilities will offer the ability to inform students of their times, information, or tips and again motivational comments to keep them going.
