This project covers a wide range of things that I don't yet have being a first-year teacher. Each student having a dry erase clipboard and pocket will allow them to be engaged during lessons at the carpet. I have some students who have ADHD and struggle to focus while at school, and I know that a wobble stool and chair bands will help them learn. A cozy rug for a reading corner, dice for math games, and light cover so the fluorescent lights aren't quite so harsh are all things I would love to offer my students. A lot goes into a classroom, and as much as I would love to handle it myself, it's difficult when you have limited resources as a first-year teacher in an impoverished school. My students are eager to learn and deserve the best, and it is my goal to give it to them.
